Medable approached Black Pixel in the fall of 2018 to focus on designing a new coherent system that they could apply to their entire suite of apps.
I focused on an iPad application that Medable deploys to physicians and hospitals that run pharmaschuetical trials. The app is fed from Medable’s Axon API and integrates elements of both Apple’s ResearchKit and Apple’s HealthKit.
The app is focused on running a pharmascuetical trial with the help of technology vs. the traditional paper style forms. The app manages a study’s workflow including prescreening new patients, accepting new subjects, visit management for an ongoing subject and data management activities.
We worked with Medable to present a number of both user flow and visual UI redesigns. Once a final general direction was decided on, we focused on each task flow that a typical user of the app needs to accomplish and how we could improve that in both reducing the overheard and making the information accessible.
This is all bullshit type that sucks, just trying to see how this modal strategy is going to work.
